Trust & data

Your record is yours.
Here is how that works.

Carry holds a verified record of someone's career. That is sensitive, and it belongs to the person it describes, not to us and not to the club. This page sets out, plainly, how the system is built to keep it that way.

The record belongs to the athlete.

The athlete holds their own record and decides who sees it. Carry's job is to keep it verifiable and safe, not to own it or trade it. Nothing about an athlete is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone without the athlete choosing to share it.

Verifiable without being exposed.

Every record is cryptographically signed by the club or body that issued it. Anyone the athlete shares it with can confirm it is genuine in seconds, without Carry vouching for it and without the athlete having to hand over more than they choose to show. Real proof, minimum exposure.

Honest about evidence.

Every field carries its source: verified by the issuing body, or stated by the athlete themselves. Nothing is dressed up as more than it is. A viewer always sees what kind of evidence sits behind each claim, including where something has expired or could not be verified.

The club sees the cohort, not the individual.

Carry is designed so that a club sees how its cohort is doing in aggregate, how many opened their record, how many are using it, never where an individual athlete takes it next or who they share it with. The welfare value is measurable without turning into surveillance of the person.

It survives the people who issued it.

A record stays verifiable even if the club restructures or a programme closes. The proof does not depend on the issuer still being there, which means what an athlete earned does not disappear when an institution does.

Held in the UK and EU.

Carry's data is hosted in the UK and EU. It is not shipped elsewhere by default.

Built around UK data-protection principles.

Carry is built around UK GDPR principles, data minimisation (we hold what the record needs and no more), purpose limitation (the data is for verifying a career, nothing else), and the person's control over their own information. This is designed in, not bolted on. We are early, and we will not claim certifications we have not yet earned, what we will do is be straight about how the system works and answer any question a club, a parent or a player puts to us.
