MANIFESTO · 2026

Your work belongs to you.

Carry is the universal single source of truth for your career.

You did the work. Someone watched you do it. That's the record.

For thirty years we've let other people own it — recruiters, agencies, HR systems, background-check companies, credit bureaus, AI screening tools. They store it. They sell it. They lose it. They get it wrong. They charge people to verify it.

We think that's strange.

Carry is the worker side of the ledger. You hold your own record. The people who saw you do the work sign it. Whoever needs to check it reads it directly from you. No middlemen. No re-uploads. No "let me chase your old foreman for a phone reference."

The AI hiring economy is here. Right now it's tilted against workers — agents on both sides, talking past each other, the worker stuck in the middle re-explaining themselves to algorithms.

Carry tilts it back. Not by fighting the AI. By giving workers a credible record those AI agents can actually trust. The faster the verification, the faster the offer. The fewer the re-uploads, the less the friction. The cleaner the signal, the less the noise.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Your work belongs to you.

Not to the platform you found it on. Not to the agency that placed you. Not to the employer who paid you. You did it. You own the receipt.

Verified once, used forever.

A shift completed in March 2024 doesn't need to be re-verified every time you change roles. Cryptography handles trust. The record is signed when it happens, and it stays signed.

Worker-readable, agent-readable.

Your record is for you to read on your phone in plain language. It's also signed in a way that AI hiring agents can verify in milliseconds. Both audiences. One artifact.

Free for workers. Forever.

No subscription. No paywall. We make money from the people who consume your record — recruiters, lenders, employers, landlords — not from the people who generated it.

You decide what to share.

Selective disclosure. The lender doesn't need your full work history, just the income proof. The employer doesn't need your card details, just the validity. You pick what each one sees.

It moves with you.

Across sectors. Across employers. Across borders eventually. The record is yours. It travels with you.

We're starting with UK trades — a workforce of 2.4 million people, most without a portable record of any kind, in a sector where lost CSCS cards and ref-chasing cost real working days every year. We're building it with Cabin, the labour marketplace that already employs thousands of those workers and is committed to issuing every shift, every verification, every certification directly into your Carry wallet.

From there it expands. Care workers. Hospitality. Gig. Anywhere work is real and the record is fragmented.

One wallet. Many verifiers. Owned by you.
